WHAT IS THE EASTERN STAR JOURNAL?

The Eastern Star Journal is the International Publication of the General Grand Chapter. Articles may be submitted by Chapters, Grand Jurisdictions and General Grand Chapter. This Magazine is a means of communication between Grand Jurisdictions. It is a valuable tool for Grand Chapters as well as Chapters in getting new ideas, and learning what is being done in other parts of the World.

GOALS FOR 2006-2009:

1. To meet and maintain self support for the publication.
2. To maintain quality of content while increasing volume of articles of publication.
3. To make the OES Journal more visible and increase its awareness in all jurisdictions and other Masonic bodies.
4. Encourage submission of articles and coordinating photos via email directly to the Editor by specified deadlines. (Reduces time in preparation of Journal copy)
5. Increase the number of subscriptions sold and renewed throughout the Triennium.
6. Encourage every OES Chapter to subscribe.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE: We’ve included an on-line subscription form for your convenience that you can fill out and mail.

• Microsoft Word Format (Can be printed, filled-in and mailed).

HOW TO SUBMIT AN ARTICLE: The Journal is always looking for interesting stories.

Articles may be composed by General Grand Chapter Committee Members, Grand Chapter Committee Members or individual OES members, and should be forwarded to the Editor in the following manner:

1. Email article as an email message or as a document attached to email (Preferred document formats are MSWord or WordPerfect)
2. Regular Ground Mail Service (Paper Copy in legible form to enable scanning of information).
3. Pictures in electronic “JPG” format (preferred) or hard copy photo with clarity sufficient for scanning. Please note: Original pictures will not be returned.
