Sickness & Distress

Please keep our Sisters and Brother in you prayers.  They would appreciate cards and visits.

March 9

I just wanted everyone to know that we put dad in the hospital last night.  He is having abdominal pain and is very dehydrated.  As of this morning he is in the ICU at Lea Regional Hospital here in Hobbs.  Haven’t talked to the Dr. yet to see how he is doing but please keep him and mom in your prayers.  Thanks.

Sister Ruth Kunkle (Los Alamos #63) fell and broke her hip badly as well as cracking her wrist.

She will have surgery this afternoon (Thursday - Feb. 18th).  Sister Ruth is in the Los Alamos Medical Center Rm. 263.  Please pray for Sister Ruth for a fast & healthy recovery.  If it’s possible, please stop by and visit her if you are able.

Sister Carolyn Green, Worthy Matron of Jal Chapter, had a breast biopsy done last Thursday and found out today it was positive for breast cancer.  She will have breast removal surgery next Wednesday in Odessa, TX.  She is asking for the prayers of her sisters and  brothers of New Mexico.

Keep Sister Kim (Vayl Ammons daughter) who was initiated by Tularosa Basin #72 at Mary's Owens Memorial Homecoming in our prayers, she has a tumor at the top of her spine where it goes into the brain stem.  She also has lesions on her brain.  They are doing a very detailed and comprehensive MRI tomorrow to determine a course of action.  If they determine that she is a candidate for surgery she will be going to Baylor in Houston.

Vayl is going to keep us updated and wants everyone to know that her Star Sisters and Brothers there in Arkansas have been wonderful and there is already a place for her to stay in Houston if she has to go.

Lets keep Kim in our prayers and Vayl also as she is Kim's primary care-giver.
