OES Fire Evacuations Pet Food Drives Information

Artesia #18 and Roswell #10, Order of the Eastern Star are holding pet food drives to help feed pets left behind during fire evacuations. If you are in Roswell or Carlsbad New Mexico, and want to help please contact Christy Sibley Breen, 575-361-9777.

We are asking for your help on behalf of the Surviving Pets and Residents from the fires in Northern New Mexico. The Calf Canyon and Hermit’s Peak fire has grown to 330,000 acres. It is now the largest fire in the known history of New Mexico. Many people were forced to flee their homes and leave their beloved pets behind. Firefighters are rescuing these animals and keeping many of them at Base Camp. They are in desperate need of Dog and Cat food in addition to plastic bowls to feed the animals out of. Please go through your cabinets and gather up all those Whip Cream containers that you really don't need and bag them up.
