Artesia Chapter #18 and Eddy Lodge #21 shared a joint venture in handing out candy to our local Trick-or-Treaters' at the EddyCounty Courthouse for out city's Halloween Festival on Friday night the 29th. Each group passed out over $200 of candy. Artesia was represented by Christy Breen, PM and soon to be newest member, Pamela Beasley. She and her husband, Charles petitioned to dual with Artesia on Thursday evening. At the same time another couple expressed a desire to join Artesia Chapter. Christy, also, accepted a petition from Gary Scott, Past Master of Eddy Lodge to join the Chapter. Five petitions were handed out and are in the process of being investigated and approved. We have one more petition ready to be read and approved. In the next few months Artesia is anticipating six new members. We will be Initiating FOUR candidates. Date of Initiation will be determined later. Because of this new interest in OES, Artesia Chapter will NOT have to move their Charter.
